Although I have seen in this forum X350 SV8's with side vents. (just to confuse things)

Next week I'm attending a Gala Dinner Celebration of 100 Years of Jaguar and the guest speaker is Ian Callum! Since they asked to submit Q&A questions in advance, I submitted a very polite question in regards to side vents and specifically the SV8 and/or X350 SV8. I hope to report what happens (such as thrown out drunk or something).

I do know that some people have retrofitted the side vents to X350s, and if you look at the Jaguar parts catalogue, it seems that Jaguar fitted the vents from only VIN H18680 onwards:

That happened to me once: Identical color (radiance pearl), year (‘06), type (VDP) in a parking lot at a restaurant in Rockville, Md. I can’t recall if we compared VINs or build dates. I sure miss that car!

 

Err, what happened to you exactly?
Did the restaurant feature on Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares? or was it something else.

 

Chris: It was a really good pho joint. As for the '06 Radiance Pearl VDP (not that I miss it or anything), it fell victim to a rotting pine in my townhouse parking lot 5/20. Totaled it and did a bunch of damage to my Prius. After a 10-week daily search I found an '03 VDP with just under 30k on it 125 miles away. I snapped it up. I enjoy it, and it has won a couple of prizes at car shows. But the X350 ride was several notches up from the X308, design differences notwithstanding.

 

I've got an '05 SV8 - what is the owner count up to?

 

In the US, it's fairly simple. A Super V8 is a supercharged Long Wheel Base car. Blend of XJR and Vanden Plas.

were the production numbers for the 2006 Super V8's also so low ? Mine is Not a Vanden Plas or Portfolio.
