How did the engine fail?

 

Engine overheated. Started with a break at the nipple from the coolant overflow reservoir!

 

That is terrible. I am sorry. Any chance of repairing the damage? Warped heads or what ever. You might be able to pick up a cheap used engine.

 

Jaguar shop that I work with searched for low mileage (<75k miles) engine within VIN range to no avail. Had to pull the plug on project as too much time had passed. Leave to someone else’s persistence and ingenuity.
