Does your vehicle have the dealer-installed XM radio?

Are both AM and FM affected? Might be loose antenna connection on the head unit. Might be loose connection at the antenna connection; antenna is in rear window of course. I've not had to trouble-shoot radio issues but have removed multi-CD unit in left rear of trunk to clean and lightly lube the magazines. Honestly I cannot remember if there was/is a co-ax connector for the radio located in that area of the car. Please let me know what you find.

There is also a radio antenna amplifier behind the C pillar trim, I think on the driver's side.

Check the connections on the antenna amplifier behind the C pillar trim. That was part of my troubleshooting when I had the same issue. Turned out to be caused by my factory XM system, which I gutted. But still checked the amp at the C-pillar.
