Hi there - we justgot an '05 XJ L. We are thinking about adding the custom Sirius that takes over the ashtray, but also want the Audio Control Module for our ipods - can you install both (I am worried that the radio only has one aux input)?
Any information on these units is greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure you can do both. I've been thinking about doing the same thing. I'm definitely going with the ACM but have been looking for some way to integrate XM into the stock head unit. I thought about the Sirius ash tray replacement but I have not found any images of the unit to see what it looks like.

I did finally find a picture of the sirius after a lot of google searching - I think I searched "jaguar sirius ashtray" - or something like that. Anyway it basically looks like a standard sirius face plate/interface in a wood surround the same shapeas the ashtray cover.
I thought I had seen ACM's advertised at various jag parts places... but have not actually tried to order one.

Yes. You can install both. Depending on the installer, you can have Sirius linked to the very first FM preset on your radio. ACM works in conjunction with your CD changer. There are many things that suck about the ACM. To toggle between the cd changer (if you have one) and like an iPOD or other device, you have to shut the car off and take the key out of the ignition. Also the iPOD UI is aweful and heavily relies on preconfigured play lists for it to be functional while driving. Also, cell phones have a tendency to cause static and interfere with the audio quality through ACM so keep your phone away from the iPOD and the head unit. Jag dealers still carry ACM units. They cost about $500 installed.

I'm now wondering about installing either. I like having the ashtray - not to smoke, but handy place for my cell phone while driving... and as for ipod.. there are a number of options for FM transmitter that are far less expensive. I am going to see what the dealer has to say.
