Default 2005 Super V8 how do you access the rear parking sensors

Hi everyone. I've received 3 error codes c1709, c1710, c1748. I get the long beep when moving into reverse, however, for a short time (a day), rear park assist worked, then back to the long beep.

The right center sensor is where the codes are indicating a problem exists. The fact that it worked for a bit leads me to believe I may have a short or open circuit.

I looked in the workshop manual and can't find anywhere, how to access them? I was hoping to see more by removing the rear luggage compartment trim retaining screws and trim. I see two torx screws and two push pins. The trim won't move.

Before I go further, can anyone tell me if you can even access the Parking sensors by doing this and if not, point to where I can find this information in the manual or from experience?
If you can get to the sensors via the trim removal, please tell me if I'm missing some screws.

My goal is to test and possibly resolve without having to remove or replace the sensor, assuming its a wiring problem and not an issue with the sensor itself, which the error codes appear to suggest.

I did a search in the forum and can't find anything that relates to access. Lord I hope you don't have to remove the bumper cover just to get at the wiring.

Much appreciated.

Sorry mate, the rear bumper cover has to come off to get to the parking sensors.

Have not done this myself but have seen a report that access can be gained by removing the rear light clusters.
