Question 2005 XJ8L Brakes

I need some help, O Knowledgeable Ones! I want to change brakes on the 2005 XJ8L, and it can be consfusing finding the right pads and rotors. Seems like EBC is the only place I can find quality pads (RedStuff) for both front and rear from the same manufacturer. When I search their catalog, the only designations they use to distinguish the sub-models are "Super V8" and "VP" (which I assume is VandenPlas). Well gee whiz folks, my car is neither a Super V8 nor a VandenPlas. Here's what they show for part numbers:

Front Rotors:
Super V8 - UPR1602 (14.4" Diameter)
VP - UPR1411 (12.6" Diameter)

Rear Rotors:
Super V8 - UPR1603 (13" Diameter)
VP - UPR951 (11.3" Diameter)

Front Pads:
Super V8 - DP31462C
VP - DP31220/2C

Rear Pads:
DP31221/2C (Apparently the same for both)

As near as I can tell with the wheels on, my rotors are the "VP" diameters, which makes sense. I wouldn't expect them to be the larger variety. I am guessing that the VDP and vanilla XJ8s take the same pads, so I will be OK if I order EDC's "VP" part numbers.
SOMBODY CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG.

One more thing - Any recommendations (or warnings) on brake fluid?

Thanks!

Default Supercharged cars get bigger brakes.

You are correct.
Normal aspirated xj should all be the same.
Suggest you look at napa for both and see if that confirms.
Nice post, btw.

Larry -
\JUST finished putting new Centric slotted and cross drilled rotors front and back, along with EBC RedStuff Ceramic pads. Ran into a big problem with the pads - there was a change somewhere in the 42000 or so production numbers (last five digits of your VIN. Mine is 38,255 and the rotors worke4d, but the pads were NOT for my 2005 XJ8L. Remember, Ford owned these guys - so the pads came out to be Lincoln LS pads for the front and something else for the rear that is used on Dodge AND others!! Crazy junk!!
