Default Not fully working yet

I burned mine to a memorex at 4x speed and the first time it said not a map disc, then I ejected and re inserted and it updated to 9.3 or something like that, I noticed new features but having trouble for it to calculate a route, or successfully enter a street address. I get as far as choosing the street name from the list, then it kicks me back out to the previous screen, and pressing street address produces no result. Neither does pressing change the map area. The map is obviously loaded but nav does not function properly. I will try the verbatim disc and see if it makes a difference.

Default Help Wanted!

I just stumbled across this thread in my search for a Jaguar Nav disc. I would LOVE to be able to download the latest North American Nav Disc for a 2005 XJR. I tried the rapidshare link and it did not work.

Anyone have an alternate link?

I put in my 2002 disc, then re-inserted the 2009 burned disc and it seems to work, but occasionally there is slow load time when choosing a destination. I will still try to burn the verbatim disc and see if I can burn even slower than 4x on an older pc with a dual layer drive.

@ Escobar, the link above for part 4 seems to be working, are the others earlier in the thread still working?

Hi folks,

I'm currently driving an '03 Plate XJ8 V8 Se Auto 4.2l X350 (UK) and was wondering if the Nav system is too out-of-date to take an update? I believe it's an Alpine system in (badges on speakers) and the Europe Navigation System disk has the following details:

Navteq.com is noted in the booklet.

Jaguar Part No: 1X43 10E898 AE
DENSO Part No: 464210-5025

Any help is appreciated

Cheers,
Ross

Ive got the latest Navteq 2009/2010 Western European disc backed up and used it to travel around UK and France no problem.Sometimes though some new roads may take a year or two before they are on the disc, just as with many popular dedicated navs too.
PM me if interested in the latest Nav

Default Success! Somewhat!

Thanks to all for the info and links for the rapidshare files! They worked and I was able to download them without an issue.

As rudelover2 has stated, I too am having issues in slow load times and many functions are not working.

I may just grab an original copy off Navteq to save all the hassles!

Question

Managed to download all the files and then create the ISO (using winrar). Had a lot of problems burning though... It finally worked when burning a verbatim DVD - Memorex or maxell didn't work. I used imageburn with the booktype set to DVD-ROM.

Strange thing though - I still cannot change destination while driving. How do you check what firmware version you have uploaded to the nav system? When I select version from the menu, it only shows 2008-2009.
I haven't noticed any new menu options or anything - only change is more regions to choose from.

/Mike

Hey all I have downloaded all parts but Winrar is telling me that files # 4 and #17 are corrupt. Anyone have another source for the DVD?
