Default 2006 Jaguar XJ8 - air suspension

Replaced Air Ride Suspension Compressor, however car will not raise.
Any suggestions.
Ride too low and Air suspension fault messages are showing.

Too many things to look for, really. Do you hear the compressor actually run? Is the car actually sitting on the bump stops, all the way down? Numerous places that leaks might occur, or the struts themselves could be blown. Without a scanner to read codes and data you don't even have a hope of knowing what's going on. A scanner will show you stuff like actual height readings, reservoir pressure, and of course, the error codes stored. Without a scanner you'll be blindly throwing parts at it, possibly never the right parts.

Search this forum for 'Air Suspension' and you will have enough bed-time reading to last you a lifetime!

Perhaps start by familiarising yourself with the system by reading Don B's excellent post on this subject: Air Suspension & ECATS System Summary: Components & Operation - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum

My question would be - why did you decide to replace the compressor ? It is fatal with up-market cars like Jaguars to fail to read the fault codes first before changing components

If you had disconnected the battery when replacing then it could be as simple as moving the car a few feet before it will kick on. I wouldn't suggest moving in a straight line and not turning the wheel or your tires may damage the fender.

Can you hear the compressor running with the ignition on? Thats a good place to start. If not, check the work you did on the compressor. If it is running, check out the front struts first. One of mine had such a bad leak she wouldnt lift at all. You can also disconnect and plug the strut air lines one at a time until you find the problem. Hope this helps.
