2006 Super v8 - Sirius Radio - Antenna port HI All,
Well as of this past Saturday we are the proud owners of a 2006 Super V8. :-). We bought it in Palm Springs and drove it home to Denver - wow, what a car.
The car has sirius radio "installed". It appears to be a professional installation, and the subscription also appears to be active. Interestingly enough it also appears to be using an FM transmitter to broadcast. I am confused as to whether Jaguar installed these, or if these are purely aftermarket. I'm not sure if I will keep this or not. I see an ashtray on ebay.....
Would anyone know where I can tap into the FM antenna? I'd like to install a TranZit Bluetooth audio device. I use this in our Range Rover and have had very good luck with it. Problem is, since the Jag does not appear to have an external antenna I'm not sure where to begin looking. I read here that the sirius module is in the trunk. I don't see it. Where did they hide it? I'm hoping i can tap into the antenna there....
Thanks for any help you can provide!!

I also have a SV8 (2007) and was pleasantly surprised to have the Sirius installed and active. I believe these were dealer installed options, but they were Jaguar options, not aftermarket. IMHO, it's a bit of a mickey mouse install, though.
Sorry I can help you with the install/uninstall bit. Maybe someone else can chime in. I think there are a couple of older threads in here about how it's setup also.

Would anyone happen to know where the factory installed the Sirius FM modulator?
There is an "FM Out" cable from the Sirius control box that looks like a standard mini jack. Can that be hijacked with another FM modulator?
I cannot find a manual of any technical specifications at all for the Control box in the Jag, has anyone seen one?
Thanks!

They modulator is on the back of the Nav/radio head unit. It is held into place with double sided tape. It is indeed factory as the black part that holds in the unit is made exactly to replace the ashtray. You must remove the center console assembly and remove the head unit and there you will find the modulator. It uses the factory antenna in your rear windshield.

Thanks for the PDF. I do have to say that the picture instructions that Jaguar seems to rely on almost exclusively could really use a nice sprinkling of the queens English to help distinguish just WTF they are taking about in some of those pictures. :-)
Maybe I didn't spend enough time with picture books as a child.
I do very much appreciate you sharing.

I need to pull it out to see what the problem is. Either it broke or not getting power.
I will follow the cable to see if it is an easy fix. Usually this are a connection or hard failure.
I thought it was aftermarket. But saw a XJR on eBay yesterday just like mine. It had one also.
