2006 Vanden Plas Door and Rear Speakers Silenced
All at once all my speakers went silent except the two front dash speakers. I tried to see if it was the DSP audio function and that didn't fix the problem. It appears that there are no fuses that serve the speakers. Does anyone know if this is a common problem and if there might be a simple fix? The car is 14 years old and has 100K miles. All the other sound systems and components are functioning as normal.

Remove the speakers and on the back, you'll find a pair of wires from the connector on the outer ring of the speaker to the voice coil in the center. Solder a new wire alongside each of those, as corrosion and decay of those wires is a well-known problem with these speakers. Here's a thread with some pictures, although they're not great pictures... https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...o-sound-22696/

Before you start soldering I would suggest to grab a multimeter and check where is the circuit actually broken. You might find out that the circuit is broken *in* the speaker, i.e. not in the exposed wires. (I.e. bridging those would not help.)
In my car all 4 mids (the blue speakers) were gone. And only 1 of them had the circuit broken in the exposed/visible part of the wire.
Fortunately I checked first, so instead I grabbed 4 speakers from an X-Type someone was advertising on one of our national marketplaces. (I can confirm they're identical.)
