Default 2006 VDP - OEM Factory Leather Seating Surfaces

As some of you may have read from a recent thread, I had purchased a 2006 VDP (Certified Select) only to find out recently that it had been involved in a major front end collision a few years ago.

The dealer has since found a replacement Jaguar, however it's a different model number / color combo / year.

I realize this is not a selling site, however, wanted my fellow XJ owners to be aware that I posted on ebay a listing to sell a pair of brand new Jaguar factory OEM leather seating surfaces (still boxed - Champaign/Mocha). Item: 260713249550. (50% of selling proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen foundation)

I purchased these with the intent of installing in the spring, but due the above development, I am trying to find a good home for these OEM parts.

Kind Regards.

Thanks for the heads up. Best of luck with the sale (and the exchange of the new car)!

I am glad that the dealer did you right on the car. Good luck with it.

By the way, what is the model year/combo of your new car?

Thanks and appreciate the support.

I've only been a member on this forum since November and it's already helped me out tremendously. A lot of great feedback and insights.

I am told the replacement car is being prep'd as we speak and will soon be shipped.

Many thanks.

The new replacement is a 2007 Winter Gold/Champaign/Mocha S-Type (3.0) with only 7,000 miles on the clock / mint condition ($11K discounted from the 2006 VDP). All body panel VIN stickers this time were checked. I hope to soon post a picture.

I realize this is a different model from the VDP, however am still very happy with the model and dealer support. In the next year or so, I might be considering an additional Jag to the family in the XJ (2000-2003) or so model year.

Kind Regards.

Interesting choice. I am glad you are happy. How does it drive compared to the XJ?

The car drive's very nice. Probably a little stiffer than the XJ; downside to the S-type 3.0 is not as much power / torque as the VDP.

I had a 2005 S-type a few years ago and wished I hadn't sold it.

Regards.
