Since you look like a shop, I would start by checking the Jaguar Global Reference System for this, then contact Jaguar. This is heavy tranny work, not many Forum folks have gotten into this that I have seen.

Hi Diko

I am having a problem understanding you well. I would guess from your location in Bahrain that Arabic is your first language, Could you please try to re-post (with some internet assistance with translation if possible).

I understand from your post you can connect into the new "mechtronic", and you want to reprogram the transmission control module (or TCM). This sits inside the transmission case, so I would suggest first check is to look at the connection to the gearbox case if you cannot connect to it.

Have you changed the gearbox on the car because you refer to "old mechatronic" in your post. Have you got access to the Jaguar diagnostics software off the internet ?

I hope this helps, or some of it. I am sorry I cannot help more.

It could be a problem where the electronics cable goes into the gearbox. You could try unplugging then replugging to see if it connects OK. If not, I am sorry, but I do not have enough technical knowledge to help you further.

Is you lap-top or PC loaded with the right program for a Jaguar ?

Run through th eelectrical connector on th etreans and check th epins according to the technical maual I sent the link for. The circuit is part of the CAN bus and there may be a problem in it. If you know how to test it, that would be the next thing to do. The instrument pack is the central hub of the CAN bus. Has there been a problem with it at all? You need to look at the Jaguar Global Reference Manual, which is the factory technical manual.
