Good morning,
I've having a bit of trouble with Jaguar Austin and the glass company that replaced my windshield. Jaguar of Austin claims there is no exterior molding around the exterior windshield, but the windshield installed is not flush with the mental and you can see the glue used to place the windshield in the car. There seems to be too much space from the mental to the windshield. I believe there was a chrome molding around the car windshield. Can it be possible they replaced the windshield with the wrong size, hence the gap from the glass to the medal? The glass company got the part from Jaguar of Austin. The glass company claims there was no molding....
I have found different pictures on line with the chrome, see attached. My car picture is also enclosed.
Jaguar of San Francisco (where the car was purchased) claims that the car does in fact have the chrome molding. The parts person at the dealership claims this is the only model XJ8 in 2007 that has the chrome.
Can someone please help!!!! If so, does someone have the parts I need?
I'm frustrated with different answers from different dealers and of course the glass company.
Many Thanks!
-Paul

there is no moulding .. the person removing the windshield has to be very careful not to scratchthe body because there is no moulding to hide the scracthes.. and when installing he hasto have the glue look perfect because it may show.. especially if you use to much .. all new jags are like this ..
