Hello, my name is David, and i've bought a Jaguar 2008 XJ8 almost a year ago, i absolutely love the car but the only downside is that there is no built in AUX cord and after doing countless hours of research, i'm not sure if i'm asking the wrong questions online or i'm just not seeing the right answer but i cannot find a way to install a bluetooth/aux system into my car so i can play music straight from my phone, someone please do me a favor and help me! My car has the big navigation screen and is not any special edition XJ8 such as a portfolio or vanden plas, Thank you - David.
I agree with the above, you really have 4 choices:
1. Bluetooth only from Veffremov
2. ACM (Audio Connectivity Module) giving you USB, iPhone and Aux in
3. Rear entertainment control panel (if fitted) 2x Aux in
4. FM Modulator, avoid cheap ones, MUST connect inline with the aerial
I went with the ACM option in the end and so far been generally happy. I can control my iPhone 6s + though the CD changer functions. I would have preferred Bluetooth, but a Aux in for other sources was a must have.
