I am the proud owner of a 2006 XJ8 aluminum body.


I am trying to find a replacement grill mesh (and the below bumper area) that has large apertures/holes, same as the grill found on the 2008 XJ (X358)?


I purchased a common after market "replacement kit" online but the grill mesh apertures/holes are very small so it doesn't improve the look at all - looks like flat gray panels from a distance so I've gone back to stock.


I have searched far and wide including this site where there seems to be a number of people also keen on this exact thing but the threads don't give any links or answers on where to find the right kit, so I've decided to politely ask the community here for any help in locating what I'm after.


Fashioning the parts myself out of a sheet of the right mesh is not out of the question but it would be very handy to know the actual aperture/hole size of the grill in the 2008 XJ X350 so I can then start the hunt for the right chrome/stainless wire mesh.


Any help would be much appreciated.

I don't know if you've checked with the following aftermarket suppliers, but they offer mesh grille conversion kits for some models:
