Hi, I recently purchased a 2008 xj358 and carried out an led conversion on the interior lights and the boot the only one that stumped me was how to change the puddle lights in the folding wing mirrors, I looked at loads of threads that said various ways of doing it but in the end decided to remove the mirror glass by folding the mirror glass towards the car fully then putting my fingers in the gap and gently prying the glass out (it just pops out) then you will see two rectangular slots in the bottom of the housing and then I put a flat ended screwdriver in it and twisted it until a small piece of plastic bent up and came off leaving access to the clip holding the puddle light housing then pushing down made the housing come out then you simply pull the bulb holder from the housing and swap to a w5w led then when finished just push it back in place and I will clip back in, then just line up the mirror glass and gentley push back into place, then hey presto you have led puddle lights to match the interior, I'm new to thos forum and not sure if this is the right place to post this but had to share how easy it is.
