2011-12 Nav discs now available

Just got the new 2011-2012 Nav Disc from Nalley Jag. Thanks Steve. Just to let everyone know, there are no software updates in this version that affect functionality when upgrading from the 2009-2010 version. This version only updates maps and POI's when upgrading from the 2009-2010 version as far as I can tell.

You can update straight to the latest version.
It isn't recommended but I have also reverted mine back using a disk from 2004 a few times. My car is a Japanese import and has a weird system that is specific to that country so I was having a play to see if I could get the Nav voice activation working. I found out that it only works when booted from a Japanese nav disk so is useless unless you live in Japan and speak Japanese.

I found several DVD's, and they are supposed to be Denso Jaguar/Cadillac/Lexus nav discs. One is labeled Denso 2006 464210-6560, and the others are labeled Denso 2009-2010, 464110-7420, 7430, and 7440. Are these actual Jag nav discs? Is there a risk in putting one in the car and trying it?

I would say no. I think that when you put a nav disk in, the unit looks for a file called LOADING.KWI which contains the firmware.
If it finds one it checks the file header to see if the model number matches and whether the firmware revision is later to what it is already running and if so loads it.
If it isn't the same or the file doesn't exist it will just try and read the mapping files.
The worse case is that you will just get a message saying insert valid map disk.
My wife uses a copy of my Jag nav disk in her Subaru. The firmware is different and you can't even search for addresses but it is able to read the maps so is handy for looking for short cuts when you are stuck in traffic. It is another Japanese import and the nav unit, once again, seems to be unique to Japan.
Note to self, avoid Japanese imports next time!

So now that there seems to be a number of people interested in a group buy, how big does the group have to be to qualify for a group buy, is there one in offer or is that yet to be arranged?
Is Nalley Jag able to get a greater discount that normal if we get 10 or 20?
I think list is $200, Nalley give 15% off, which would be $170 ea, but bulk, do we know what we could get it for?
If they were available for $100, would all interested parties go forward or is the expected discount greater or is this an unreasonable expectation?
Who's on point here and has a good relationship with a dealer?

OK, so I know I'm on the wrong forum for this question, but does anyone know if this new disc will work for a 2006 XK8 factory nav system?? Somehow I think not because that system seems to be the ba$tard child of Jag nav systems and I think they have vowed to never update it.
Just wonderin'

I got mine from www.satnav-updates.com at a great price and they knew which version I needed. Very quick delivery.
I've had updates for my 2003 X350 Satnav & my wife's CLK 500
