Are 2ohm speakers compatible with the factory stereo amplifier in the 2004 XJ8? Here's the link and info to the 4 speakers I'd like to have installed: I've been searching for this answer everywhere online and coming up short. I, also, called Jaguar's 800 number and the dealership, but neither could answer this question. I have an installation for those speakers scheduled in a few days on March 2, 2018, so its not too late to switch to 4ohm speakers if absolutely necessary, though I'm hoping the 2ohm will be fine. Any advice is appreciated, thank you.

 

I don't think those the right size. I believe door speakers are 6.5". Also what sound system does your ride have? And lastly why upgrade stock? I hope it isn't for more bass.

 

believe the installed speakers are 4 ohm. Hoping also that it is not too late, but you don't want to get this wrong - half the impedance would double your current, not a happy ending...
