Default 3 questions about my 2005 Super 8

First off, what a AMAZING car, a true rocketship with all the class and elegance you expect out of a Jag. I just bought this beauty a few days ago from Jaguar Financial Credit (I am a car dealer) and it has only 18K miles on it.... This car is AMAZING.... I have three questions about it

1) How do you reprogram the remote for it? I changed the battery and it still did not do the trick

2) I have it scheduled for this problem at the Jag dealership (still under warranty) but am interested to see if anyone thinks they know what is going on. When I turn on the fan for the front, no matter the temp or the fan speed, it will not come on in the front. When I engage the rear climate control, the rear will turn on. I am guessing either the blower motor for the front is out or it is a fuse....

3) The dealer told me it had one more free scheduled maintenance on it which is great.... It appears that the brakes need to be changed on it, is that included in the scheduled maintenance?

Thanks in advance.... I saw the 08 XJ's at the auction, what an AMAZING ride...

Scary if it needs brakes at 18,000, are you sure? Mine had a sceduled maintenance every 10,000, the warranty free ones should get you to 40,000 miles. Try hitting auto and see if the fan comes on.

Just an update....

1) the fan computer was messed up so it was changed under warranty

2) they reprogrammed the key for free

3) The previous owner of the car obviously rode the brakes hard which is why the needed to be changed, I bought the parts and had my own mechanic take care of it

To program the FOB follow these steps:

With the driver door open, hold the headlight switch to the "flash" position. Turn the key to position 1. Flash the headlights 5 times - you will hear a beep from the PATS. Note: at this point the car will forget all programed remotes. On each remote press any button - you will hear a confirmation beep from the PATS.

You can program up to 5 remotes in this fashion (I got 2 from ebay and they both worked fine).Remember every thime you have to program all remotes.

This will not program the key for the car - only the remote.
