Default 8 channel Parking sensor system issues-Help?

Out of nowhere my parking sensors would go off and Id eventually get the long beep. Id shut them off. It was annoying me. I checked with my cell phone taking videos and all seemed to be clicking. I also did the Wd40 water remover trick, no difference.

Eventually they stopped working altogether and it automatically does the beep on startup and shuts them off. I figured I must have a defective module so I picked one up, installed it and it still does nothing.

What else is tied into this system? I've had several strange things happen over the past year which I thought may be due to ground issues however I checked resistance at all my grounds and they seem ok.

Any idea>? Other strange happenings are my Cruise control not available is on always and doesnt appear to be a wheel issue as all my other functions work (this also used to be an on and off thing at one point) . My air ride is also having a fault which now causes my right rear to practically fully fill. This issue was an on and off thing showing no signs of failure and then this. Not drivable now. That may be a venting issue, Ill just have to pull the pump. I just figured the parking sensor issue should be easy to figure out and Id work from there though.

Thanks all

In my experience the sensors are the weak links in the system

My Car Soft scanner correctly identified the the bad 'un.

I had a virtual copy of the IDS and it was disastrous. Being I have 4 jags it be a good investment to get a proper working copy but my trust level with this is 0%

Xalty references "real stuff" or a ripped-off version of same. Not exactly practical for most of us amateurs.

I've been looking at iCarsoft forever. Apparently iCarsoft LR V2.0 Landrover/Jaguar, the LRII is an older one (I think but check).

May I say there are times when professionals aren't particularly useful. I have no idea why that guy is here except to say in 5 words "I know and you don't"

i purchased 4 sensors not fitted yet.. i wonder if an easy way too do the job ? if anyone knows how ?.. i got download of suspension module £3, gives more info, ime going to refurb the compressor fully total strip if not totally seized .. but is working,
not done much with code reader yet ile report back with more info soon, this code reader is cheap and works well but only 3 free modules , then u buy what u require thro paypal or card, also if u want more than 3 vins (cars) u have to pay think ? $20 us per vehicle, it suits me for my needs , the obd is free onward no yearly fees !!, a fee is required yearly after first year for modules etc..

Not sure what my issues are yet however the parking sensors are an easy swap. The pump seems easy to pull. It was suggested I may have a venting issue on mine and if thats the case ill likely have to buy new. Id just like to see if its something other than that. Ill look into that app. I have one that works great for engine codes but thats it.

I would love to have a good copy and setup of IDS. I just have had bad luck with that thus far. Im an engineer and generally dont have issues understanding or picking software. I also need to get a transmission programed but thats a different car...Technology.....

if you still have your clone mongoose, use a real laptop with the latest cracked SDD. VMs are no good. i can teach you how to get it up and running to pull your codes.

i know you plan on keeping your cars for a long time, try to find a used Rotunda VCM. sometimes you’ll get good deals under $250. it will pay for itself the first time you use it
