Just on 131k miles and done O2 sensors. Otherwise just services, and lining. Still original battery too from'05 but do not get cold weather here.

Default It's not supposed to be a Toyota (Lexus)!

I love my x308. It is a 2003 and I had to do a lot of looking to find it. I wanted the classic Jag styling with alll the old classic Jag ameneties. I knew the potential problems with the air suspension, so I have the last year with shocks and struts. No nav for me, I use my phone for that if I need it. It also had to have the leaper. The only problem I have had outside of routine maintenance is my fuel pump went out a year ago. That happens to all cars eventually. The key is maintenance. If you want maintenannce free then maybe this isn't the car for you. If you are like me and like to keep up on things, it fits perfectly. 103k and going strong.

2000 XJ8, 220,000 miles runs like new. I like to work on cars and be up on anything going wrong and really this car has been a joy. Easy fixes. The transmission was rebuilt at 110 X but really for what I payed for this car, who cares! And it's even better then before. The rack and pinion will be next to replace after all the pot holes this town has. I really think people have a phobia about getting under the hoods of any car now days. It's just nuts and bolts. I really like this car more and more as time goes by

Regular maintenance is required with any vehicle. I will say my `04 is oft remarked by those who see it and ride in it, think it's much newer than it actually is. At 115,000 its a wonder to drive and own. There is nothing on the planet that drives or rides like a Jaguar.

I bought my 58 plate ( now around 7 years old ) with 61k miles on the clock, she now has approaching 91k
In that time she's been very reliable and has never let me down in any way.

I have spent a lot of money on her, either via warranty or spent personally, here's my thread on her to date.....https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...y-x358-113597/

I have a full excel spreadsheet on everything spent / done to date and yes it amounts to a lot, but.......

As I intend to keep her for a long time, a lot of the work done has been work I've "wanted" to do, small changes / upgrades etc and not work I've "needed" to do
I want to get her into the best shape I possibly can and that involves money and time

I don't mind spending the time / money as she's my baby and I want to make her the best she can be, always looking to upgrade etc and try to look ahead as best I can.....that way come MOT time there's usually no nasty surprises

Total cost to me so far £5546.24
Around £3053.95 of the above is WANT to do work, not necessarily needed
