Default 99 xj8

Hi can anyone help. I have a 99 xj8 fuel pump went bad I replaced it and the fuel filter (witch was clogged). Car starts but bogs when I step on the gas hard. Up until the fuel pump went bad the car ran beautiful.

You might want to try the X308 section since I noticed no one has replied to your post.

Thanks for your suggestion I actually figured out what it was. When I was putting in the fuel pump I did not undo the fuel lines under the tank. I was able to pull the tank out enough to get to the pump. In doing that it stretched out one of the lines wich has a plastic tube in the fuel hose. It stretched the plastic line inside that when I pushed the tank back the line was kinked and was not letting gas through. So note to anyone don't b lazy like me and not undo the fuel lines underneath the tank. They will stretch and kink. Thanks

It would be great if you could post this information at the X308 forum so other X308 owners can benefit from your experience.
