Default ABS fault after airing up tires?

I'm sure the two issues are unrelated, but just in case. We are going through a cold snap here in Vegas and even had hail last night. I got out of work and had a warning light for air pressure in the spare tire. I got out my cig lighter plug air compressor and filled it up since it had dropped to 25psi. Similarly the other tires were at 28 so I bumped them up to 32psi. The car was running the whole time. The second I put the car in gear, ABS fault and Cruise Not Available illuminated. It hasn't cleared either in the few times since that I've started the car. I know it's very well possible that I could have a bad ABS sensor, but it just seems like extremely odd timing. I've got the battery disconnected currently to see if I can get it to go out first before delving into it further. All I can say is regardless of the problem, big or small, I'm getting really tired of fooling with this car.

Check the ABS sensors behind each wheel, sounds to me like one of them has become loose.
A 2 minute job.

I'd have the alternator checked immediately.

Yeah, I suspect one of the rear ones. Aren't the fronts screwed into the back of the hub itself? I know only one bolt holds the rears in and both front hub assemblies were completely replaced about this time last year.

Come to think of it, I never greased the front plug gaskets to keep from water ingress when they were installed. I'll be checking all connections.

Cold snap; drawing a bunch of amps off the battery for the air compressor; now getting oddball electrical issues. I wouldn't rule out a weak battery either.

The battery is 6 months old. I had some screwy issues before I installed this one.

The sensor literally fell out of the back of the hub. Snapped it back in and the light went away. Does the sensor seriously just snap in like that? It doesn't feel secure at all. I know it was the rough construction area I was j yesterday that knocked it out.

Revisiting this again. The cap popped back out again this morning. It looks like the wire got caught on the lower suspension bolt. I rerouted the cable and am curious if some form of adhesive should be used when installing the cap.
