Default ACM C2S46365 or C2C40513? I'm confused

I've tried to go through the threads but I am very confused. I just need to know if the the newer C2C40513 will function (with an iPod) in a 2006 SV8P? I'm hoping there is a straight forward answer but this being my 5th late model Jaguar I'm sure that is not the case. I understand RF modulators work but I'd prefer to only go down that path as a last resort.

Thanks for everyone's help in advance!

Yes, the C2C40513 is the correct part for your year/model. Do you have a source for them? If so, can you share where and how much the kit cost you? Thanks. I've been looking for one for about 6 months.

Default C2C40513 for me

I used the C2C40513 in a 2005 XJ8 L pics here:

Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum - magmedia's Album: ACM Install

...and the C2C40513 2005 Super V8 pics here:

Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum - magmedia's Album: ACM Install - Round 2

Please see the attachment and the reference thread I needed to complete the acm installation here:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-photos-50454/

In the XJ8, I placed the aux in inside the armrest, but in the Super I placed it in the glovebox due to the 4 zone climate taking up the all the freespace under the armrest.

Enjoy!

Yes the C2C40513 seems to be the correct, although unsupported by Jaguar, choice. I’m also in the market, to upgrade the system in my recently acquired ’09 XJR.

There is a recent thread on the SType forum regarding sources:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ces-acm-95319/

As noted, the prices for the ACM are outrageous, but this is truly the only way to tie into the stereo if you are at all concerned about the fidelity.

MarcB, I’m guessing that your Portfolio is the one that recently resided at my local Thousand Oaks dealership? It certainly appeared to be in nice shape, and would definitely have been a contender for me if I hadn’t found my XJR first.

Yup! Bought it last weekend and it seems to be in very good shape, except the wheels are a bit rough and the driver's floor mat is missing. Other than that it is an awesome ride. Along with the ACM I am working on sourcing the proper mats and wheel center caps.
