Default Adaptive Cruise Control?

Do all 04's hav ACC? If not, how would I tell if my Jag has it (without testing on the HWY)?

Sorry to ask such basic questions, but the owner's manual lumps together different flavors of XJ8 and I am a new owner...

My 04 does not have ACC either, but I test drove an XJR that did. I don't recall where the conrols were but there is an easy way to tell whether you have it. You will have the "sonar" circles on your front bumber just like the ones we all h ave on the rear to tell us when we are approaching an obstacle behind us before we hit it. If you don't have those little circles in your front bumper, you don't have ACC.

The little sensors on the front bumper are the front park distance sensors. There is a seperate sensor for the ACC.

The acc controls are on the right side of steerng wheel. You have standard controls then on right side where you can put your hand through the wheel at 5 oclock position the is another switch to adjust follow gap.
In 2004 I believe the XJR was only one with adaptive.
Also, wherefog light switch and trunk release etc is, there would be a button showing triangle with car inside. This is toward alert. If you have it, you have adaptive cruise.
The sensors on front bumper are indeed parking aid sensors.
