Air Supension Question
Hello Everyone! I just got my first Jaguar which is a 2006 XJL Vanden Plus with 60K miles. It's a beautiful car but I am not very familiar with this car. I just have a question in regards to the air suspension and was hoping someone would be able to help me.
I parked the car on an even ground inside the garage for two nights without noticing any height issues on the suspension but after parking the car for a night or two outside the garage (cool weather / 57F) on an inclined drive way, i noticed that the height of the car lowered. I did not see any fault messages on the dash after switching on the engine also I noticed the car started to rise after unlocking and opening the driver side door.
Is the air suspension leaking?
How can I tell if the air suspension is leaking?
If the car is parked on uneven ground for days; Will the car height change?
Please help and I thank you for your time.

Welcome to the Jaguar Forums! It's great to have you with us.
The simple answer to your question is yes, when you park the car on an inclined surface, the Air Suspension Control Module (ASM) will wake up periodically and lower the high end so the car sits more level. You can learn about the suspension by reading the post at the link below and downloading some of the documents linked to in the post:
Air Suspension & ECATS System Summary: Components & Operation
In the meantime, please visit the New Member Area - Intro a MUST, and post a required introduction so we can learn something about you and your Jaguar and give you a proper welcome.
Cheers,
Don
