Air Suspension Fault- Ride Too low !
#21
So…
Basically this is a $1,500 issue and only occurs when in the brutal cold?
This is my first and last cold winter (in Chicago with this car) before I move back to Los Angeles and ship it there.
I don't think putting in another $1,500 to fix this problem that didn't happen there is worth it.
Sidenote:
The Jaguar dealership said that in order to figure out the problem, they'll have to diagnose it for $139.99 and once the problem is found that diagnostic fee would cover most of the repair cost
I knew that had to be a joke

Your the guy! I went to check if you happened to create a thread with some detail about the pressure gauge in the tank, as I remember seeing you comment on this somewhere in these forums. If you did, I couldn't tell by the thread title. Can you describe how its mounted and what type of gauge was used? This seems like a terrific tool to analyse an important parameter of the system.
I disagree. The height sensor is telling the system that it is too low. It has done it's job. The front air bags require about 150 psi. If the compressor is worn like mine was, it cannot supply that much. Hence, the bags do not inflate properly and the front stays down. Both front bags are controlled together. The rears are separate. Do yourself a favor and get a compressor.
You could also install a pressure gauge in the tank like I did. It is a great troubleshooting tool.

MK 82, I realise this is a very old thread, but do you still have any details of where you sourced the materials and how you fitted a gauge to your Air Suspension Reservoir please?

XJ8/X350 y2007 "Bilstein"'s air suspensions
Hello all,
Due to "Air Suspension Fault" and "Vehicle Too Low" messages recently appeared at my XJ8/X350 Sovereign y2007 Jag.
I came into conclusion that there's a need to replace my both front, (probably original), "Bilstein"'s air shocks absorbers/suspensions.
My question is, if someone can help and tell/show, (based on any Jaguar's doc. reference), what is the correct nut tightening torque required at this front, lower suspension arm shown in the attached photo?
Looking for the pointed correct nut tightening torque, (based on any Jaguar's doc.)
