Default air suspension problem

Hi all,

I am quite new to this forum and I am currently working to fix the air suspension problem on my 2005 XJ8 LWB.
I have been working on this issue for one month: whole car is very low, air compressor rebuilt, replaced new air valve block, but still not rising. I can hear air escaping from the air lines when I remove the rear ones, and also for the compressor and reservoir. However, it seems like the valve block is not giving air to the front suspensions. Rear shocks got air pressure but not rising, while front shocks have no air in the lines.

Appreciate for any idea/ suggestions on this.

Other than that, I am thinking to get the shocks converted to coil springs. I have recently gone through the threads in this forum, and done some research on this. Is Arnott or Blackdog sets good?

Thanks in advance for the help on this.

A similar post was put up earlier, I answered to that, have a look at that one, but check the actuator arms are still attached, if not the car will not rise.

Arnott makes very nice after market air shocks for almost a reasonable price if you watch.Replaced both fronts for $830, not that much more than conversion shocks, with a better ride, much more like the original.

Have you tried driving?

If not drive it for up to 20 mins and it may come up.

Thanks both for answering. I have use a pressure gauge and tested the compressor, the pressure output was only 80 psi which is why my car stays low. The pump was rebuilt by myself but only got 80 psi even after rebuild. I have no idea why.
i have already ordered a new compressor for 300 USD. Will install on the car once it arrives.

Could you have installed the ring backwards?

Just an update for everyone, I have fixed the air suspension problem by replacing the air compressor and one front shock. The rebuilt air compressor is only generating a pressure of 80 psi and my only choice was to replace it with a new one. After replacing the air compressor I tested the pressure for each front air tubes and confirmed no leak at the tubes. At last I found out it was the right front shock leaking and ordered two front air shocks for 605 USD with shipping included. Now the car just raised up as it should be.

Thanks everyone who helped me on this!
