I just bought a xj8 and it is riding at bottom. the fault light was on but not now. the compressor is not getting power. does anyone have a wiring diagram?

 

How did you arrive at the "no power" diagnosis?

 

Compressor is powered-up via a relay, and does not run continuously. However, if your car is bottomed-out, it could be a duff compressor or relay, or a leaking airspring.

If the car is not rising after a start, and you can't hear the compressor running, (its behind the front bumper on USA driver side i.e.left), then it does sound like you have a compressor problem somewhere.

 

I volt tested it. started the car no power. I unhooked the battery for 10 min then it started working but one shock was leaking. I ordered the conversion kit so I wouldn't have to mess with it anymore.

 

Wise choice. Best decision I have made concerning my Jag. The air suspension is great in theory but sucks in practice.
