Alloy wheel repair (in L.A. region also)

My recently purchased 2004 XJR has some nasty curb rash on the driver's side wheels. I added to the damage tonight when trying to remove the center badge on the rear wheel. (I swear someone glued these on. I'm drilling through the rear right and going to try to pull it from the center.)
The prices on second hand Sepangs makes them out of the question.
It looks like there are outfits that repair curb rash, etc. damage to alloy wheels. This involves sanding down, applying filler puddy or alloy, sanding again and painting.
Has anyone had success with their vendor? How about in the SoCal region?
Thanks!
