Default Android Head Unit

Ok, I have been doing some research for a new head unit for my 2004 XJ8 and ran across this:

Review: Navall E46-RN502 - New Android Head Unit with MirrorLink Support - E46Fanatics

Yes, I know it's a BMW forum but if you look down the checklist of that Android stereo he is installing, it does do some impressive things. Among other things on that list is real time OBD2 Torque display. Do we have anyone here that lives in that techy world and has any insight into the Android head units? I will start doing the research myself but it's a long way from scratch to expert on these things.

Thanks

Robert

Torque should be easy on any $50+ tablet so really the big question is do all the other claimed features work on Jaguars? It's $800 so they need to!

The trouble i you need to retain the OES head unit to keep the climate controls

Thats why I went for a "black box" unit.
I initially had a wince based one and changed it for the andorid unit.

My next step is to make some changes to the steering wheel controls so i can use them as the andriod buttons

For that im unis a joyon interface which I will be using for the indicators as well to make an upgrade to the side camera's

Cheers
