Default Angelina Jolie's LWB XJ Super V8

Buck just posted this on the UK forum.
X350 LWB Super V8, formerly owned by Angelina Jolie.
And it's got a Cranberry interior! Wow!

Nice. I would have thought it would have picnic trays.

It is also missing rear climate control. I want that steering wheel though. The Jag dealer here didn't even know that it was available.

I understand wanting something unique. This is just plain ol' ugly.

I think the wood clashes with the Cranberry. It needs a darker colour, maybe Piano Black or a dark Silver carbon fibre. It's just too "busy".

Red leather almost the same colour as that was very, very, common on 60s and 70s Jaguars. My Mark 2 had similar. I suppose it went out of fashion some time in the 90s.

Angelina has good taste in cars, but not in modifying them

Make no mistake, that's a factory interior. Not modified.

Well I for one, always liked the old Jagaur red interiors. And it wasn't just the seats, the carpets and door and trim panels were red too. It really set off the walnut trim pieces, a total of about 16 on the Mark 2

Man, if the wheel was on the other side of the car, I'd LOVE to swap out my current Vanden Plas for that one... I love the colors!!

that looks out of place to me. I remember the red interiors in the older XJ's. The color was more subdued and less odd, but I still disliked them too. Walnut trim next to red is WRONG. It needs charcoal, black, brown, almost anything but red.

I like the wheel as well, did they give you a price?

HAHA - Everyone on this thread doesn't like the interior. Yet the "Just joined the XJR club" thread (just a few below) people like it.

I'm not a fan. Like SuperTrav said... the walnut trim doesn't work.

Yep it's not so much the Cranberry, it's the clash of the wood with the Cranberry.
I'm under orders to change the wood out. Going to do a mock-up of Piano Black with some Black Gloss 3M Vinyl. If it looks the part then i'll have them painted professionally, hopefully by a guy who actually builds/restores pianos, to give credibility to the modification....

Default angelina jolie super v8

Dave S, saw your post on this. I've got an LHD super V8, same year, same colours in and out and same wood, same spec (plus I have the wood rear tables too) and genuine 51,000 miles - fantastic car, but I'm moving back to UK from ME, and shipping an LHD to UK makes no sense. A long shot but if it could go to someone who'd appreciate it, and drives southpaw, that's better than a local dealer - any interest?
