Default Another cats fault issue

Hello everyone

After u replaced my front dtruts with arnot last year everything was fine.
Then came cats system fault light randomly.
I checked everything i could find from the forum threads no success.
I biught an autel ms509 buy no codes to read except p0170 and p0174 which are not linked with suspension,
I inspected back struts and found red color stuff on top ( see picture )
So i really think about changing b ck struts with arnot ...

Any other suggestion before i spend lot

Thanks

Thierry

That scanner won't read the modules you need to read.

I assume you have cleaned that red stuff since it could have got into the CATS plug and wireing?

Why spend a lot just to get rid of a random CATS fault?

A CATS fault means the dampers will never get switched to 'Soft'. The Soft setting requires the CATS module to send a voltage to the dampers, but this is not done if there is a fault present. The 'Hard' setting is the default, hence the car feeling a bit harsh riding.
