Awesome post Moscow leaper!

I always knew it would be possible just needed a jaguar owner to do it

As I am in australia looking forward to seeing cambos and 34by151 cars with diferent gears and harder more positive shifts should see some serious quarter mile times

If you are game to try an XKR I've got the standard diff ratio but would love to have firmer shifts.

Z65x5557x103fed_data64k.dhx

No need to change the AFR, I've got it dialed in fairly well for the twin screw and water/meth injection with the programmable MAF. I don't *think* the XK has the torque limiter, at least that seems to be the case from watching the throttle position, but if you don't mind checking...

Rev match downshift in sport mode would be nice and a little bit of exhaust crackle on the overrun.

Not sure if this is pure software related and/or your stuff.

When doing 138 km/h on speedo the car is really doing only 130 km/h (GPS measurement). When I plug in my OBDLink MX and read the speed it does say 130 as well. So the car knows the correct speed but the instrument cluster gives a different reading. Can this be reprogrammed in the instrument module?

Can the steps in the cruise control be changed from 2 km/h to 1?

Can the function of the switches for audio and cruise control on the steering wheel be swapped? Would be much more convenient as on my Volvo.

Maybe your more into the engine stuff but I just wanted to ask.

Have an SDD.

I am working toward "cracking" the ECM for the purpose of re-writing the VIN.
As posted on a couple of JF threads and my own experience, salvage/donor ECMs can be made to work but the wrong VIN will fail state/government vehicle inspections.
Can "tuning" the flash file accomplish that?
I have been using IDS 131 and 135 with a genuine Mongoose thus far.
The ECM microprocessors are Hitachi HD64F7055 (X-Types) and HD64F7058 (XJ) for MYs in the 2002-9 range. Programming tools are available from the current manufacturer free on a trial basis. I'm hoping to read the programming from the microprocessor (chip), edit the VIN and re-write to the micro-chip. This will have to be with the chip still on the ecm board. I don't know if this can be done via the CAN network. I am still learning about using the chip mfg flash tools and compilers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I also want to upgrade the IP in an X-type to the "hi series" but want to revise the odometer from the donor to match the actual vehicle mileage. An IP and ECM issue, I am led to believe.

It is possible to tweak almost any parametr in a f/w, including
-gear ratios (incl. rear end ratio) - not tested yet, since i don't have a 3.0 diff)
-speed limiter can be tweaked to any speed
-ignition and fuel maps (tested, runs awesome, especially if water/meth is installed)
-revert a f/w to any emission standart
-disable any DTC and perfomance restricions
-A/C cut-off speed and rpm
-fuel cut-off rpm
many other things, the complete list may take a few screens, but i can send it in a .csv file.

So, is anyone intrested?

P.S. tables/data are available for aj-27/later V8 engines, 3.0V6, 2.7&3.0TDV6
Hidy,
I've not yet received an email, msg, etc as of yet. Hoping to do some tuning!

I'm very interested in tuning through SDD,

Could someone guide me on how to find what is the correct file for 2010 5.0 XK ?
I'm looking in the jlr\ids\flash folder, not sure which BIN file is for the PCM (ECU)

What do I need to edit this?

Thanks

There is a bigger possibility of a mess up on user end doing an ECU tune through SDD.
I can tune that way but would rather send my own equipment to load the file.
Tarakyama What are you trying to gain by using SDD? You still need to decipher the file and adjust the correct maps, if you are a tuner then yes I can see the point , but trying to do this from scratch is asking for trouble. Even if you happen to decipher the map structure , which by itself is a dificult task , there are over 1200 maps in a typical Denso ECU on our cars. Knowing which maps to actually tune is a whole another level , certain things even for an experienced tuner is like finding a needle in a haystack. I know first hand that reputable tuning companies couldn't find a simple Afr ratio maps on our cars , check my old threads, some managed to loose hp by tuning incorrect maps, some gained a tiny amount of power. I went to tackle tuning these ecus due to lack of a proper tune by even reputable companies, but it took me a few years to get to this point.
How you load the file should be irrelevant to you, unless I'm missing something.

Default A bit lost on how all works,x350 xj8 super 2006 4.2

Have no CATS, rear pipes 3” with Coby type reso/muffler. Air intake like XJR with high flow filter. Uses too much petrol as O2 sensors fitted in new front pipes see too much Flow. What do I need to supply & how do I tune with yr files.
Thank you

I was waiting for an update on this for years!!! From my understanding the few people that were using this for tunes were having issues. It’s a shame because I severely need a tune. Ahhh welll

It doesn't have to be done through sdd, I do all my tuning by sending my equipment out to a customer, same thing accomplished but less chance of a mistake compared to when using SDD JLR

I am definitely intrested in this I have a 04 x350 xjr
and I recently installed 3.31 gears in the diff and a lsd.
And I am in need of programming is there a way that we can set this up. Thank you .

@King_4g63 , @doc ,You have revived a long ago post.
But to answer your question: the Central/Car Configuration file allows edits to the Final Drive Ratio for the X150, X152, X250, X351, etc..
Likely available in VID block programming: for X200, X350, X-400,
