If I were you, I'd rip the other one off and remove your pinstripes.

 

Are they really??? That's not part of the car and nor is the stripe? If that's so I will be rooming ASAP

Never seen those before and not very fond of them either.

 

It should have a badge on the rear that says "Vanden Plas" in cursive lettering. But that's it. The rest should be exactly the same as every other XJ of that year.

Maybe pinstriping was a dealer installed option, but my XJ does not have pinstriping and I haven't seen many with pinstriping.

 

Mine has black pinstriping and I think it looks good. That badge is a cheap knockoff. Get rid of it. It even looks cheap!!

Yes they are there just very small... In the pic they look bigger but r rather tiny

Oh yeah, I see the pinstripes now. Didn't realize the striping was so close to the edge of the fender!

 

This is mind boggling . Why on earth would anyone add these if they weren't factory???

I can imagine in New York, you're probably going to need to have that tint removed. Unless you want to be ticketed all day long.

 

I know cops will be annoying w the tint and I tend to drive w the privacy shade up as well!!!!

 

What is legal tint in New York? I know it is much lighter than in southern states.

 

I'm not 100% sure but I believe it's 30%
