I just bought an '05 XJR and am moving to boston. Does anyone have a suggestion for a tire and wheel package? I can figure out the tires, but I'm more concerned about getting the right size wheels. Are 18s too small to hold the calipers?

A link to an inexpensive (ugly is fine) set of wheels would be appreciated.

I am fairly certain 18" wheels should be fine so long as they have the proper offset etc. I just put a set of the 18" Tucana wheels on my 2005 Super V8 (which I believe has the same brake setup as the XJR) with no clearance issues at all.

Hey David,

I bought them the same place I buy everything...Ebay. I paid $550 for a set of 4 wheels which included some used Continental Contitouring Contact tires (235/50R 18). The wheels are a bit scuffed up but are certainly fine for the winter.

Like you I live in Massachusetts and running the 19" summer tires in the winter is like having saucer sleds on the car. I ended up replacing the tires with some Toyo all seasons since I discovered one had a sidewall bubble (decided against dedicated snow tires, I need to drive in the winter not a blizzard).

Quick look at Ebay today all I could see were a set of 4 rims brand new for $750....still a pretty nice price considering what these cost at the dealership. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FACTO...item19b79a458e
