Armrest/Console Lid - leather cracked - salvage?
The leather on the armrest of my 2000 VdP is cracked - presumably by years of relaxed, single-handed driving by previous owners :-)
Anyone know of a good salvage web-site for used Jaguar parts, or any good/reputable salvage yard that ships? Was quoted $200 to re-cover the armrest by the guys that did my headliner but I don't know if that is value for money without looking for an alternative source.
Thanks in advance!
Steve.

I had mine recovered and looks new, BUT I DIDNT SPEND $200, I GOT A BUDDY DEAL FROM OUR TRIM GUY. HE ALSO REDYED MY STEERING WHEEL LEATHER AFTER I SANDED, STAINED AND CLEARED IT. I would say call around more. Someone on here used stainless boat cup inserts to replace his broken Jaguar 1 and had it all recovered, and it looked really good too

Also, try posting on the XJ8 board for your year (2000). This site is for the 04 and newer (X350) which has a different armrest.
