Hey guys, went to Jersey Saturday to pick up a 97 XJR off CL, but i passed on it....

I saw this dealership the night before while lookin for a hotel...anyway..

After passing on the other car i stopped in to see what they had out back for trade ins and they had this car...

I looked it over real good...the car has NO paintwork that i could tell, and i own a body shop so.. thats a good thing..some marks on the rear bumper cover, and a nice interior for 121K...

The car starts right up, and runs nice, the equipment all seems to function as it should NAV, windows seats, etc..., no check engine lights or warning lights on, all systems seem to be a go...

The bad..the front air suspension sags after a day or so, so plan on that...

and the tires are so bald you can see the air inside..

I tried to make a deal a with new rubber, and them removing the stainless rings on all of the wheels, as each and every wheel on the car has been curbed to death. wholesale, as i am a dealer and wanted it for myself, but they wouldnt do that.. wholesale they wanted 7500 with the rubber dealer to dealer...and 250 to have the rings removed...

normaly i would just took it for the 7500 and removed the rings myself, but i thought 75 was enough money for the car...and wanted a bit more out of them for the money..

Origionally !

they hit me at 9k, and i had to tell em again that it would be dealer to dealer.. LOL

then they came back at 7500 before i went out to look at it...

I came back tellin him i thougt it was a 6k car as is, and he told me thats what they took it in for...

I offered him 6500 so he could make a nickle, but that didnt happen..

Then as you know by now i tried to work in some rubber..yada yada yada....but that was a fail...so i left !


anyhow..just thought you guys should know the skinny if any of you are looking at the car on epay....

Not a bad rig but those are the issues with it, from what i found..

 

Oh and the key fob will unlock the doors, but wont lock the button on the fob must be bad...

and the headlights have the clearcoating hazing off on the top crests of all 4 in the front..

I think thats it...
