Hello all, so I'm a week into ownership of a new (to me) 2004 XJ8. Im loving this car but the audio system is really outdated. This is the base model with a single CD changer. I've been looking all over this forum on iPod connectivity and am considering an ACM. Question I have for you guys is: are the ACM's universal? I found one that's from an XK and I'm wondering if it will even fit my XJ8. Thanks all!

Thanks Casper, very helpful. I'm surprised how difficult this is, to get ipod connectivity set up, not to mention doing any decent looking nav system or stereo. Wild love to be able to get a factory nav and just add it on but based on these forums that's not an easy thing by any means. Curious, what do you have in your XJR?

I also have a jaguar X350 and want to use my Ipod my XJ8 SE does not have the sound system with the big screen
It has a smaller screen head unit and it has a cassette player in the dash and stacker in the boot and 2 small subs in the rear deck is there a ACM device for my car that anyone knows of
I was going to just rip out the whole thing and put an alpine mechless head unit in it like I did with my XJR6 but if there is a adapter that I can buy
I would be very grateful
