On my 2007 Jaguar XJ8L, the Automatic Speed Limiter (ASL) button on the top of the dash will not turn ON for me. I push the button, but the ASL light on the ASL button never turns ON for me. The regular Cruise Control is working fine, but I cannot engage the Limiter. Does anyone know of a fuse to check or other reason why the ASL button doesn't seem to function for me? I am glad that the Cruise Control is working on this car. I have another 2007 Jaguar XJ8L that also has the ASL button in the same place and the other 2007 Jaguar XJ8L works fine for ASL and regular Cruise Control. Thanks!
Would my car have the ASL button even if I do not have the ASL feature? I thought blank button slots are usually put in place when a feature is not installed.
Ok. That makes sense if the ASL feature is not installed. So, my first 2007 XJ8L has the ASL, compass indicator in the center rearview mirror, front parking assist, the CD changer, and the passenger sideview mirror angles down when I put the car in Reverse. The second 2007 Jaguar XJ8L has the DVD navigation system with touchscreen, but not the other features listed above.
