I took my recently purchased 05 XJR in for a wheel bal due to a very subtle steering wheel shimmie at 50 mph. They discovered that the rt. rear wheel was bent and had a wobble of 1/4 to 3/8".
"All Jags" in Orlando put me onto a mobile service that straightens mag wheels at your location. Well I live too far out for them to come so I am scheduled to meet them tomorrow someplace in Orlando. Have any of you guys had experience with this kind of operation? The price of $175.00 seems like a bargan.
I will keep you advised on how it turns out.

Tarheal, I had two wheels damaged (unknown to me before I purchased) on my 2004 XJR. I live in the Washington D.C metro area in Northern VA. My local Jag dealer uses a company called The Wheel Doctor. They straighten a bent wheel, and welded a cracked wheel. Both wheels were fixed properly and completely straightened, no issues. I was charged $100 to straighten, and $125 to weld and straighten. My wheels are the 19" Custom style wheel.

I just got back from having my bad wheel straightened. I met up with a mobile service in an Orlando K Mart parking lot. 30 minutes and $110.00 later it was all done. I was impressed and the shimmie/vibration was almost gone. A road force wleel bal this afternoon and its all gone.
Mucho big bucks saved and a happy XJR driver "on the road again". Me and Willie.
By the way. These same guys have a service for curb rash that the dealers use as well as the bent wheel repair. You folks contemplating new wheel sets over scrapes and bumps should rethink it. My wheels are $700 to $900 each plus shipping.
