Bluetooth handsfree Volume

Hi,
I have a '07 XJ8 with bluetooth (I think it comes standard on the 07's) and when I take a call via the car, the volume of the person on the other end is not high enough. There's a setting for phone volume and I have set it to max (25) but it's still not high enough. There's no setting on my phone to change volume for handsfree.
Anyone know whether it's possible to raise the volume any other way?
I may have to get new tires (Continental ProContact on the front and Continental Touring Contact? on the back) as the road noise is a lot higher than expected:-(
Or do I need to check my hearing instead?? ;-)

I guess we have to get hearing aids ![Icon Wink](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
I don't think it's possible to mute the call via the bluetooth - probably have to do it via the phone itself.
I did find something in the manual (Bluetooth getting started section) that might be what you are referring to:
"When a mobile phone is paired to the
vehicle and the Bluetooth connection
is established, one bar will be
displayed next to the antenna icon.
However, you will need to refer to your
mobile phone’s display to determine
the strength of the network signal."
