Brake dust

I was hesitant to respond because this comes up in near every brake pad discussion. It all comes down to your driving habits.
Organic brakes are going to feel "grippier" and statistically you may have shorter braking distances, but real world driving will foster as many opinions as there are elbows in the world.
I prefer less dust to more grip:-) but that's just me.

I too use Akebono ceramic pads for years in all my cars. No problems and they stop without any compromises.
BTW... The lazy mans way to keep your rims always clean with little to no effort is the use an inexpensive hi pressure water washer followed up with a battery powered leaf air blower for drying. The high pressure water gets into all the little nooks and crannies especially the brake calipers. No need for soaps or brushes. I do it at least 2x a week.

Pad COF is dependent upon properly surfaced rotors. Popping in pads without rotor replacement or turning most likely will not bring out the min stopping distances whatever the COF is. If anyone desires max brake performance new pads and rotors need to be replaced often to maintain the best surface to surface contact. This also includes brake fluid and brake hoses.

I have used Akebono's for years. My wifes RR wheels seem to never have much dust with Akebono's, and she cooks brakes. All my previous Jags didn't either. I have them on the rear of my SV8, but cannot find a listing for the front (2006 SV8 with teves). Ceramics do need to get a little hotter to perform great IMO. But the huge brakes on a X350 should even it out, and with way less dust.
Anyone have a good P/N for the 2006 SV8 front pads (Akebono)

The X350~X358 series uses Teves (ATE) MK25 systems. Brembo brake calipers and disks were an upgrade on R models, however, the electronics and ABS/DSC is still ATE.

No. In 2006 the SV8 was given a change from the brembo's to Teves made. On top of that, the SV8's received larger front brakes.
OEM Jaguar pads:
W/Supercharger C2Z14096
W/O Supercharger C2C39929
They are different than 2005 and prior. They also changed the rear caliper system to a much simpler system. Can't find a cross ref to C2Z14096 for Akebono from a vender I trust. Most of them list the wrong brembo pad.
Sorry to highjack
Any help
