Hi, will keep this short, waiting for delivery of right rear caliper for my 2007 xj8, the brake hose to caliper is badly rusted, can only see two places in the uk selling the part, very expensive, $140 cdn plus shipping , number is C2P14733G, anyone know of where I might get one at a better price, also hose has a bracket on other end from caliper, anyone have any knowledge how this is removed, thanks for your help,,,

There should be bolts on the bracket that can be removed as the bracket is part of the flexible hose assembly. The end attached to the caliper also has a bolt, but the copper washer must be replaced when changing the flexible hose.

The part number for the hose is C2P14733 without the 'G' and the crush washer is C2C31805.

 

Jaguar Lakeridge in Ajax are quoting $156.50 Can on line price for C2P14733. Price from Merriam jaguar is $118 US. I would try the Jaguar dealer in Oakville.

 

I looked all over when i Replaced mine on 2004 XJR v8 SC. Car is equipped with Brembos. below are the numbers i used. Had to source from dealer. Not sure how compatible they are. I tried to make my own but could not find a suitable banjo. Was not thrilled they cost as much as my full set of slotted and drilled rotors.

C2C6168 Brake Hose $154.52
C2C6169 Brake Hose $138.69

Seems like I got mine at the right time as they are more now. Best I could find for your part # was $120 US.
