Brake Line Recall - Get yours fixed yet?

Had the VDP at the dealer yesterday and they told me that there was an open recall on the brake lines. They are suppose to corrode and are being replaced at the dealer.
Jaguar is going to be sending out the recall in the mail. You may want to call your dealer to see if your car is part of this recall.
I had the lines replaced and now my girlfriend does not like the brakes. She says she has to press further on the brake to get the car to stop. I thought it brakes fine, but will revisit it again.

Greetings Moses and H2O,
I just learned about this recall last week, although I suspect it has been more actively implemented in other parts of the world already. Here's a link with more information, which came to me courtesy or Mr. James Frey:

Maybe it's just me, but brake pedal pressure is like breathing: the more you think about it, the more something doesn't feel quite right. It certainly wouldn't hurt to bleed the system again, provided it had in fact been opened up for any of the brake pipe work indicated in the recall.

Mine was registered in June 2003, apparently the issue is a piece of sound deadening material wrapped around the pipes, it is collecting road moisture and trapping it hence speeding up corrosion in that area. They have to drop the fuel tank to get to it so have asked that it be relatively empty of fuel on the day the car goes in, it is about 5 hours work so over here that is at least a £500 job plus parts .

thanks jagtech, as i was typing my first post yours had'nt been posted yet. the link cleared things up for me because ive checked out the recalls for 2004 xj8's and only the airbag recall came up, plus a whole bunch of TSB's.
as a sidenote, as i did an oil change the front subframe happened to have alot of the orange rust as well. that i address by scrubbing off and painting and clearing it. seems like the plastic underlinings are trapping alot of water on crucial componants.
