Lightbulb Britishdiagnostics

Has anyone experience good or bad with the Britishdiagnostics.co.uk ?

Was it better than the Chinese clone sites ??

Default British Diagnostics

I purchased my diagnostics package about 1 year ago.
The disc provided was corrupt for whatever reason and they were very responsive to my problem. After downloading the software myself (hours and hours to download) there were several confusing issues related to the install.
The gent over in England took control of my laptop and patiently took care of each area necessary to get me up and running.
As to the software package itself, I'm still learning. I'm reluctant to experiment and create issues, if you understand my meaning.
I have read and reset prompts. And, I have set up the suspension to delevery specs. Other than these and a few other experimental endeavors, I haven't done anything serious in the way of maintenance.
I'm pleased with my purchase. I don't think you could ask for better customer service.
Good luck with your decision.

I went all in on buying there cable and software.

The software was very glitchy but with enough patience it would work.

The cable flamed out quickly and I've been promised another, told it was in the mail, now emails are not being answered. Still no cable. I should've just set money on fire in the drive and watched it burn.

I got my system from British Diagnostics.

The only issue I had was that the cable eventually failed, but they promptly sent a replacement.

Overall, it was a good experience once you understand that in order for the software to work, it has to use a virtual machine to 'fool' your system into thinking it's the proper dates and using the outdated operating system version for when it was originally released to dealers.

So after I made this post I heard from BD. They have sent me a tracking number that shows a new one is on the way. So I'd say at this point BD is a better option than the Chinese guys.

Aren't they just selling a chinese cable with a big markup?

You will get roughly the pro's for that price, so one fail is still cheaper for them
At the price its not a Drew tech unit but if it was they are at a bargain price

The main reason for failure is leaving them connected to the usb for extended periods

If you don't do that they will last a long time

Cheers

You are correct, I bought the Chinese stuff once before and what I got from BD was the same. So you are really buying some customer support. If they come through with that then I'd say they are a great buy. If they don't then they aren't worth it. Looks like they are helping most people out.

I am TOTALLY computer illiterate so the help is what I really need.

Cable failed. I shipped it back to the UK which was a waste of more money.

Received this from Andrew Jones back in Oct 2015
"We received your cable and a new one is being sent out tomorrow. We need to test it first hence the 1 day delay."

No cable ever arrived and my emails go unanswered. Their telephone number +44 114 3830060 has now gone dead.
