I'm waiting on mine too. Dont want to have to deal with bad nuts when its snowing out. It would make for frozen nuts for sure.

Well, you wouldn't have to worry about freezing your nuts off, since once they go bad, they don't come off.

The instructions from Jaguar, are to torque dry. If a person chooses to use anti-seize, and you put 95 foot pounds of torque, you will in fact run the risk of warping the rotors and/or breaking the lug. I strongly recommend, is using anti-seize, 72~75 foot pounds of torque.
Are these also 19mm hex nuts? I didn't see the drive size in the Amazon listing. Does the chrome hold up on these Amazon nuts?

There were some really tight OEM lug nuts on my 06SV8 requiring a 1/2" breaker bar and a 6 foot pipe to break them loose, but none split. I had to drive a 19mm deep socket on one of them and I suspect previous use of an impact wrench was the culpret in distorting the cover on that one. I always use anti-seize on my vehicles lug nuts and had not heard the danger of torquing to 90 foot pounds.

Phil,

I just got mine in the mail, but haven't had a chance to install them yet. I also ordered and received an set of new studs from RockAuto, so I will probably do the whole job at one time.

I believe that the DPA lug nuts require a 21mm socket. I bought this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Titan-21093-Drive-Deep-Socket/dp/B008XMDSJC http://www.amazon.com/Titan-21093-Drive-Deep-Socket/dp/B008XMDSJC
since it has a non-marring outer surface and should help protect the wheels. I am going to leave it attached to a breaker bar and keep it in the spare wheel compartment in the car.

I believe that the DPA lug nuts require a 21mm socket. I bought this one: Amazon.com: Titan 21093 1/2 Drive Deep Lug Nut Socket. Size 21mm: Automotive since it has a non-marring outer surface and should help protect the wheels. Thanks, Good to know about the DPA lug nut size being larger than OEM: odd that Amazon has the line drawing of the lug nut with word descriptions of dimensions but no numbers. Perhaps the larger hex size is the reason Amazon says they don't fit our Jaguars.

That is a nice looking 21mm deep socket. What is the outside diameter? Small enough to fit in the wheels OK?

Edit; I ran across a review of these lug nuts that said. " the DP Accessories lug nut has a 13/16” hex head, while the Toyota part has a 21mm hex head." so if that is the case they would be .8125" vs 21mm which is .8268. Does a 13/16 socket fit yours?

Hi Phil,

When I purchased the lug nuts on Amazon it showed the "frequently purchased together" link to the socket. It showed 21mm. The "customer answers and questions" part of the lug nut listing states that they are 21mm drive.

The above post about 13/16 drive had me a little concerned , since I had already purchased the socket. I went on the DP Accessories web site and it lists them as 13/16 drive. Damn!

So, I tried both sizes of socket (21mm & 13/16) on the lug nuts. The answer... Neither fit very snugly and the both had a little bit of slop. Not much, but a little. The slop felt about the same for both sizes which is weird because 21mm should be a hair larger than 13/16.

Here is the socket and a DP Accessories lug nut:

I had already ordered a full set of genuine Jaguar lug nuts from my mechanic before I saw the recommendations here for the DP Accessories set. They have also come in, so now I have lug nuts coming out of my !@$@#%.

Here is a side by side comparison of the two types of lug nuts:

I haven't installed any of them yet. I also have the new studs that I ordered from rock auto, but that will be a bigger job.

Also, since you asked, I tested the fit of the non-marring socket in the holes in my Sepang rims, and they fit with plenty of room to spare.

Not sure what I'm going to do with the Jag nuts. Perhaps, I'll list them for sale.

I just tested the ones I purchased on Amazon, I mention the part # in an earlier post, and a 21mm 6 point socket has noticeably more "slop" than a 6 point 13/16" socket which has very slight "slop". It states 13/16" socket size on Amazon.

The Amazon lug nuts are nice looking and shinier than the OEM, although a little shorter on the lemgth of the hex. Are the diameters of the part that goes through the wheel the same for both?

I was hesitating, but I think I'll order some if the fit in the wheel is the same diameter.

Gorilla 73138T is the Amazon part#. It gives you the measurements in a diagram.
The reason I chose them is because they matched the Jaguar dimensions exactly.

OK, Thanks,

I was looking at DPAccessories LCM3C6HCOCH04020 listed earlier in this thread which did not have any dimensions on their diagram. The Gorilla lug nuts are pricier than the DPAs by about three times but they do look good.

I asked for the DPA nut dimensions just now to see if they match. Might even be the same manufacturer under different names.

There are these also, 20 for $21.99,

(20) Silver Lug Nuts | Mag Style | 12x1.5 | For 5-Lug Lexus, Scion, & Toyota Vehicles from Precision European Motorwerks

They had five 5 star reviews but one review out of 6 was not so good.

Verified Purchase:
Looked good when they came but threads were not cut well ,felt rough when installing . The chrome is already starting to flake off and rust is coming through. I will replace them after next winter with better quality lugs.

When I bought mine about a year ago they were considerably less expensive than they appear to be now.

Perhaps someone told them folks were buying them for Jaguars and not just Toyotas?
