Caliper Bolt Torque & Brembo

Caliper Bolt Torque & Brembo
How do I tell if I have Brembo brakes on my 2004 XJ8? Is it as simple as the presence or absence of the brake disc shield? Mine have the shields. I am not the original owner. I can post pictures if needed.
I recently did both the front and the rear brake and I will probably have to re-torque the caliper bolts that connect to the knuckle.
The manual calls for 156 lb-ft torque for front Brembo caliper bolts and 25 lb-ft for non Brembo brakes. That's a huge difference! For rear brakes it is 51 lb-ft for Brembo and 25 lb-ft for regular.
I am a bit disconcerted by these specs. In every Youtube video I have seen on changing brakes the torque ranges are much higher than 25 lb-ft. These videos were for non-Jaguar models.
I used 90 lb-ft for all four.

If it's not an XJR then I think it's unlikely to have Brembos.
A dealer should be able to tell you. Mine printed me a list (free) of my build details and they include the magic words Brembo brakes.
Or, try putting your VIN into sites with Jaguar-specific parts (SNG Barratt etc) rather than generic sites and see what they list.
If you have them, I think they'll show the front disc size as 365mm (like mine).

Hi JagV8,
Thanks for your suggestions. I looked at SNG Barratt's website. I didn't find a place where I could put in my VIN. Do you know the webpage address for this or perhaps you can recommend another site.
My Jag dealer is 2 hours away in Knoxville, TN, and I gave up on them after they suggested a $2,000 transmission rebuild to resolve a park brake fault that my independent guy figured out was a bad computer.
