Default Calling All S.F. Bay Area Jaguar Owners. Advice on Mechanic Please

Hi all, my long journey and dream of owning a Jag is coming true as I take possession later this week. It will need some servicing and I posted as such a couple of weeks ago. I have heard really great things about British And European in Fremont. I have talked to Nick and Carol and I feel very very good about them. Thirty seven years in business has to be a good thing. There is a place in Berkeley with basically the same name, I got the diagnostic work done there and the mechanic seemed very competent and was extremely thorough. The problem is that while Berkeley is much more practical, I'm in Concord, The Fremont shop came in much less expensive for the quoted work. Does anyone have any experience with either place or other suggestions in the area? I don't want to get soaked at a dealership and one of those is closest to me. I really would appreciate any advice.

Congrats on the Jag purchase.
I am also interested in recommended SF Bay Area shops or mechanics. I am currently in need of someone who can reset my shift adaptations.
Thank you for mentioning the two above in your post.
Anyone else out there???

Congratulations on getting a Jaguar. I'm sure you will absolutely love it. These are really fantastic cars. And the guys here in the forums will help you out if you get any problems.

If anyone is looking, I found this SF shop to be very satisfactory.

11th st Auto repair.
270 11th st, 94103

90% of their work is Range Rover, But they took in my XJR in without hassle. I finally had them reset my shift adaptations (after valve body overhaul ) and the transmission is working well now.
One of the owners recently bought an older XJS ragtop and is working on it in the back when he has time.
