Thread resurrection and all that but I've fitted the below to my xjr, as above I trimmed the wheel arch liner for some additional clearance.

Is this on coilovers? Anyone know what the widest tyre I could fit on the back of my STR is? I'm on the 18x9.5 Vulcans.

X350's have adjustable air suspension, that's how it can be so low.

Not sure about the widest tyre on an STR, stock size is 275 so climb underneath and see how much room you've got...

Simon, I am liking the stance of that, are they xk offset wheels? As they seem to fill the arches better .

Thanks guys, yes they're XKR-S Vulcan wheels, 9J ET49 on the front as standard fitment, with 10.5J ET52 rears with 295 30 Pirelli Corsa tyres. They're forged like the Vortex wheels and they certainly didn't feel any heaver than the BBS Cremonas on previously, not the cheapest wheels to get though! The tyres might suit Oz better than Scotland but when they've got some temperature in them it grips like it should.

Matches the Alcons nicely I think!

Simon, thanks for the great info. I am planning for some wider tires my next tire change and this is good to know.

P.S. Where did you mount your exhaust cut outs? Could you please post some pictures and or video of how they look and sound? I really want to do some exhaust cut outs too. I would be nice if I could hear the engine sometimes.

I mounted them just after the cats, in line with the gearbox, they're the low profile QTP cut outs, but I would probably go for the standard ones they offer if I was going for it again - they are about 1.5" lower than the rest of the car, I'll try and get some pictures for you but the video might be a little harder, it's about 105dB in the car with the windows up, so my iPhone just records distortion. It certainly turns heads.... Never fails to put a smile on my face, or take it off of F-Type owners

So for you guys who have put on 275/285/295 tires on the rear, does it just look cool (which it really does btw) or do you get real gains in your acceleration times?

Also for people who have done all the upgrades like pully, intake etc, are you noticing big gains or is it pretty minor?

Why 275 on the front? 255 is ample. 295s are great on the back though

without reading every reply Cambo I run 295 30 20 on takoba wheels on my 04 VDP. No rubbing and as soon as the front 255's wear out ill put the 275's on/ Yeah I can easily go around those 45mph curves DBL that. They stick really well. Much better than the original 235 50 18

After reading through this thread I gather that 07-09 XK wheels will not fit well on x350’s due to the negative offset on the rear wheels pushing out the wheel lip to the fender?

I came across a set of 09 XKR 20” wheels and thought they might look nice. To note, my XJ8 is lowered and sits on 20x8.5 ET38. From what I gather, the wheels are 20x8.5 ET49 (255/35r20) and 20x9.5 ET26 (275/35r20). The fronts would fit fine, but I believe the rears would possibly have rubbing issues on the fender lip. Anyone fitted these wheels to their x350?

I dont know about those wheels but i switched to the xfr/xkr black takoba 20" wheels from the 18"s on my 04 xj without issue. I run 255/35 20 front and 295/30/20 on the rear. And can probobly go to a 265/30/20 in front9 GEEZ I just realized reading up I already stated this end of last year)

Brutal, did your wheels come off of an 07-09 XKR or 2010+ XKR? From what I understand, the 10+ XKR staggered wheels changed to a much higher offset in the rear due to the new e diff. It looks like x350 members are running 10+ XK staggered wheels with no problems, but I am curious on the 07-09 staggered wheel fitment. Unless yours is from an 07-09...

EDIT: I found a link where a member here used 19” staggered wheels from an 09 XKR, and while “fitment is close,” they fit and look good. I am still having a hard time understanding why some 07-09 XKR staggered wheels fit, while others supposedly do not. The offsets can vary some, but not really by much.

I went with the Verde Axis V99 in Matte Graphite 19x8.5 and 19x9.5. LOVE this look. I also have my stock 10 spoke rims and tires for sale if anyone needs them $600 with new R caps too. I tried putting pics of the rims up and they are not showing??

Here is an update for those wondering. I stopped by and the lady was kind enough to let me test fit (apparently the last guy did the same thing, and there were at least two others that checked them out). I tried the rear on for size, from an 09 XKR portfolio, 20x9.5 ET 26mm with 285/30R20 tires. Note that I raised my car quite a bit this morning (from being lowered) for clearance for a trip out of town (30mm), so the wheel gap is extra pronounced. Everything fit well, plenty of room on the backside, but I am still on the fence as to if the wheels themselves are too wide with the offset, making them protrude out a bit too far or not. Speedometer error should be under 2%. Also included is a photo of the current 17” Coventry Whitleys with snow tires to compare wheel gap. What do you guys think?
